Thus, these conversations tend to turn into heated debates rather than dialogues.While it is true that most Mormons are uncomfortable with the race issue, if they speak out against the church, they will be told by the church that they are being intolerant and therefore, an excellent topic for their article should be race and the priesthood. In essence, this means that they should be seen as speaking against the current church leaders. Many feel that the LDS Church should be open and accepting to everyone.By choosing to address the race issue, you will create a lot of interesting conversations within the LDS community. You will also be able to present yourself as someone who has some experience on this issue. This will in turn improve your chances of being accepted into the temple.
